This tiny building in Carrick-on-Shannon measures just 5 metres by 3.6 metres, making it Europe's smallest chapel. It was built in 1877 by Edward Costello to honour his young wife, Mary, and both Costellos now lie in lead coffins on either side of the door, with a single stained-glass window overlooking them.
