We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom cottages. There was my wife , myself and a 4 year old and a 1 year old. We found location of hotel ideal for sightseeing in Kerry. The cottage is very spacious with 2 good sized bedrooms each with double and single bed. One is en-suite the other had main bathroom beside. It's so much better with kids to have this space as a normal hotel room can be cramped, especially with travel cot. The furniture and tv are very dated and if we had more family seating would be cramped. Also we found dishes and cups were dirty and had to be washed. Overall we had a great week and would recommend Castlerosse to my family and friends.
Lots of room and peaceful at night.
The place was really nice and especially for the price we paid !! We had everything we could need for the 3 days we stayed. Clean, and comfortable beds, sitting room, and dining area. The only thing we would say is that the place was catering for 6 but there was only enough couch space for 4 but other that all was good. Customer service was also good.
Cottage was well set up , rooms were of generous proportions, plenty of towels bedlinen etc available. Welcome starter pack was a great idea. All staff were very helpfull, pool gym ... was great to have availablbe to us as the weather was not great
Excellent facilties, great location. Overall would highly recommend and will definitely be returning
Good clean and spacious accommodation with essential access to the leisure facilities.
Excellent. Beautiful setting. Really comfortable accomodation. Loved every minute have booked another break for a couple of weeks time
The houses were so well equipped. The house was very clean and very functional. We had lots of space. All the extras were very helpful as we had no time to shop that evening ie the dishwasher tablets soaps etc. The grounds were fabulous and we had a very good appreciation of the location as the weather was an added bonus. We wished we had booked for an extra day.
It was very spacious and had everything we needed, measuring jug, pirex dishes etc..
We had the full use of the Hotels Leisure facilities free of charge and towels provided, lunch menu was reasonable, we had an evening dinner with a group of friends that joined us. We got a discount voucher for dinner at the hotel when we were checking-in. Overall very pleased, would stay again and recommend to friends
Comfortable house , access to nice swimming pool, playground for toddlers locally - and best of all easy access into national park.
The location of the cottage is excellent as a base for exploring Killarney itself and he surrounding countryside. The size of the cottage is generous.
The cottage was very spacious (the interior photos looked exactly like the living/dining area and kitchen in our cottage) and had a combined clothes washer/dryer which saved us a lot of time - not having to be there to monitor laundry. Dishwasher and laundry tablets were provided, as were an abundance of nice sturdy dishes and cooking supplies (much better than most self caterings we've been to). Blankets were abundant & warm. It was nice having access to the indoor pool and rec facilities. Some negatives to prepare for: the cottages are connected - not individual buildings as photos seem to show, the cottages do not have any view at all of any of the golf course or lake as photo seemed to show (they look out onto parking lot and other cottages), there is a daily fee for electricity that is added onto the price you see online, and we received no welcome/info pack. The only time you can have a view of the lake if you stay in a cottage is when you dine in the restaurant or go golfing - breakfast buffet was priced well and food was fine, and the price for golfing was great but we didn't golf so I can't say how the course is. This was overall a nice place for our family but be sure to plan ahead well to make the most of your trip here and to the Ring of Kerry - I mean ask a lot of questions if you have them and get a good guide book written by a real person who has been there.
This was a fantastic place to stay, appartments exceeded our expectations. Looking forward to going back there again in the near future.
friendly and helpful service, properly equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms - this place was great.
Liked everything wished we could have stayed longer
