The majority of Wexford hotels are concentrated in and around Rosslare harbour, Rosslare town and Wexford town.

Rosslare Harbour is home to Rosslare Ferry Port which is one of the busiest freight and passenger ports in Ireland as it is the closest to the UK and mainland Europe. Irish Ferries and Stena Line are the two main ferries companies, which operate from here and have regular sailings from Fishguard in Wales and Pembroke and Roscoff in France.

Just up the road from Rosslare Harbour is the seaside destination of Rosslare. This is a top holiday destination in Ireland with families flocking here when the weather is nice. It claims to be the sunniest spot in Ireland and records show that it receives more sunshine than anywhere else in Ireland making it a hit with swimmers, sunbathers and those who just want to enjoy the array of fantastic outdoor activities on offer. About 15km north of Rosslare town is the county town of Wexford – Wexford town. It is a historic maritime town, which was founded by the Vikings around 800AD. The town centre is a maze of delightful meandering lanes and passageways. It boasts some notable churches and distinctive spires. The town is also home to the magnificent newly opened Wexford Opera House and the annual Wexford Opera Festival.

If you're looking for Wexford hotels in the town centre then choose one of the following; The Riverbank House Hotel, Whites of Wexford Hotel and the Talbot Hotel. The Maldron Hotel Wexford and the Whitford House Hotel are located at the edge of the town close to the N25 the main road from Rosslare Harbour north to New Ross and Dublin city.

West of Wexford town (about 25km) is the pretty town of New Ross. Situated on the River Barrow and on the main N25, New Ross is an ideal base as it is situated on the main Rosslare Harbour/Cork city route. Saint Mary's Church and the John F Kennedy are two of the top sights to see in the town. The Brandon House Hotel is located in the town centre. If you want to be located in the countryside within driving distance then choose the Horse and Hound Hotel.

Gorey is another popular town in Wexford. It is located in the northern half of the county. It is located on the N11 road to Dublin city and just a few minutes drive from the seaside resort destination of Courtown.
