Las Vegas SignGlamorous Las Vegas is without doubt the 'Entertainment Capital of the World'. Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay Hotel

Shark Reef is the only predator-based aquarium and exhibit in North America so a visit here is a must! It is located at the back of the Mandalay Bay Hotel. At this amazing undersea world, you will come face to face with some of the world's most dangerous aquatic animals. There are 14 exhibits here with over 2,000 animals and fish and 15 different species of shark. The Shark Reef has lots of interactive and fun activities for kids like a touch pool. There are also two fascinating tunnels, which visitors can walk through – the experience is said to give visitors a "divers view"!

Manhattan Express Rollercoaster at New York, New York Hotel

The Manhattan Express is the highlight of the New-York New York Hotel Resort. This exhilarating ride takes you 203ft high and drops 144 feet. This rollercoaster is hard to miss and is located at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue. The 2 minute 45 second ride will take you around the replica New York harbour, Manhattan's buildings and the Statue of Liberty. The ride has some amazing hills, drops, twists and loops.

New York New York Hotel can be found at the south end of the strip. The entrance to the rollercoaster is located on the 2nd level inside the hotel.

Bellagio Fountains

The famous Bellagio Fountains are found in front of the magnificent Bellagio Hotel. The shows take place every 30 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes at night. The show is particularly beautiful at night when the dramatic water, music and light show can be enjoyed at its best. The fountains are free so you've no excuse not to see it!

Stratosphere Tower

The Stratosphere Tower claims to be the tallest observation tower in the US! You simply cannot miss this attraction and it can be seen from far and wide in the Las Vegas city skyline. The Stratosphere tower encompasses 3 thrill rides such as the Insanity Ride, the X-Scream and Big Shot – these are the three highest thrill rides in the world! Other attractions at the Stratosphere include two observation desks and a revolving restaurant called 'Top of the World'.

Freemont Street is located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. It is a historic street where the city's world famous entertainment industry was born. The Freemont Street Experience takes up 5 blocks of Freemont Street. Mirage Volcano

The iconic Mirage Volcano is located on the Las Vegas Strip and is one of its top attractions. This impressive volcano 'erupts' nightly for a spectacular show. The volcano (which is already 50 feet high) erupts into the air up to 40 feet! The show is free but you need to get there early to get a good view. The show performs nightly at the top of every hour.

The volcano can be found in front of the Mirage Hotel & Resort on the Las Vegas Strip between Flamingo and Spring Mountain Road.

Caesars Palace

The luxurious Caesars Palace Hotel & Resort is also located on the famous Las Vegas Strip. The Forum Shops at Caesars are one of the premier shopping destinations in the city. It features over 160 shops and boutiques as well as 13 restaurants. All the top designer stores can be found here such as; Burberry, Christian Dior, Fendi, Gianni Versace, Guggi, Louis Vuitton and Valentino to name a few.

It can be found on the west side of the Strip, between the Bellagio Hotel and the Mirage Hotel.

The Titanic Artefact Exhibition

This impressive exhibition houses over 300 artefacts as well as some beautiful replicas. Artefacts on display include numerous luggage items, floor tiles, the ship's whistles and even an unopened bottle of champagne. Some of the most beautiful jewellery recovered from the shipwreck are also on display here including platinum pendants, diamonds and sapphires. Replicas of the Titanic include the ship's staircase, the promenade deck, the first class sleeping quarter – you will actually feel like you are on the ship at times! At the start of the tour you will receive a boarding pass of a Titanic passenger and when you finish the tour you will find out whether that passenger survived or not.

The Titanic Exhibition is located inside the Luxor Hotel & Resort on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip.

The Hoover Dam

The Hoover Dam is without doubt one of the top construction achievements of the 20th century. It is located about a 35-minute drive south west of Las Vegas in the Black Canyon. This national historic landmark rises more than 725 feet above the Colorado River and it one of the country's largest hydroelectric power stations. Visitors can go the observation deck and take a tour of the dam.

The Hoover Dam is located just outside Boulder City on the US 93.

The great thing about Vegas is that it has something for everyone, places to stay for all budgets and attractions for all tastes.  It's a giant playground that appeals to almost everyone.
