Jazz it Up in Cork City This October!

The Cork Jazz Festival is Ireland's biggest jazz event and one of the top 3 jazz festivals in the world! It's an action-packed 4-day celebration of all things jazz and this year it's taking place from the 23rd-26th October down south in Ireland in the beautiful city of Cork.
The Cork Jazz Festival is one of the top music festival's in Ireland. It takes place each year on the October Bank Holiday weekend, which happens to be from 23rd-26th October this year.
The festival started out with modest beginnings back in 1978 and has now become one of the top jazz festivals in the world. It draws upto 60,000 music lovers to Cork each year and hundreds of musicians.
The festival's jam-packed programme will include over 120 acts on 28 stages throughout the city. Some of this year's headliners include big names like; Imelda May, Al Di Meola, Kurt Elling, Milk & Jade, The Bad Plus and The Sun Ra Arkestra to name a few. There will also be a parade of marching bands through the streets and of course, lots of jazz to be enjoyed in the pubs and clubs of Cork city.
Jazz fever will certainly take over the city with a Jazz Photography Exhibition, Jazz Church Service and even a Jazz Food Fair! And if you do get carried away with all that jazz, why not join one of the many jazz workshops and master classes taking place throughout the city.
90% of the music events taking place are free of charge so whether you like your bebop, dixieland or swing jazz you're sure to be in jazz heaven here! Of course, if you just want to enjoy the electric festival atmosphere and enjoy some Guinness then this festival will not dissapoint.
